Shaheen triumph 4-3 over Bazan

After the lively 2017 Afghan Premier League (APL) opening ceremony, attended by over 6,500 football fans, ShaheenAsmayee competed against De SpingharBazan. The game was kicked-off at the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) stadium, Kabul. 

The first and feisty affairs game of group “A” was started with an impressive and early lead of ShaheenAsmayee, the 2016 champions and Kabul representatives. Unbelievably, Hamid Habibi scored the opener just on two minutes followed by another goal on six minutes after FarhadAnadar materialized a well-planned attack. The first-stoppage was not ended here. Retelling a number of shots on Bazan’s goal, Shaheen’s striker, Hamid Habibi put the ball at the back of their opponent net for the third time on 31 minutes. 

De SpingharBazan could not make any goal in the first-half, yet they did not give up.

Back to the second-half, Bazan netted their first goal through a penalty-kick by Ghulam Hazrat on 50 minutes. With 3-1, Bazan kept the efforts and counter-attacks to score the equalizer goal. Shortly on 58 minutes, ShafaqAyubi, the prominent and experienced striker, scored the second goal to increasetheir tally to two goals against Shaheen. However, on 67 minutes, Anwar Akbari nailed the 4th goal for Shaheento challenge Bazan and cut their scoring sequence. 

Using the counter-attack strategy wisely, Bazan netted their 3rd goal on 79 minutes to increase the chance of draw but other attempts were dragged off by Shaheen’s defense line and goalie. 

Ultimately, Shaheen triumphed 4-3 over Bazan and marked their first win in the sixth season. 

The game statistic reveals a 52% game position for ShaheenAsmayee. Hamid Habibi won Man of the Match Award.
