Maidan-e-Sabz 2015 kicked off on April 16th in Ghazi stadium, Kabul. Four teams namely Sherpoor, Taq-e-Zafar, Sher Darwaza and Bala Hesar from the Kabul region participated in the tournament. Fans attended the games to cheer their favorite teams and players. This year, the RAPL has invited professional FIFA-certified coaches from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan for the selection process. Afghanistan Football Federation officials and Mr. Boir Igamberdiev, the coach for Kabul region selected the 26 best players from these four teams based on their skills and performance. From these 26 players, the 21 players that are selected during an Intra-Squad match will be the final list of players officially representing the Kabul region and “Shaheen Asmayee”. The coaches will also train RAPL players and RAPL coaches for the National championship.
