Amu face Oqaban for 3 Critical Points

Mawjahi Amu and Oqaban Hindukosh will have their second game of the season facing each other at the AFF Stadium later today, September 4th at 4:00 PM.

Both teams have finished their first games in ties, so each have one point in the standings thus far.

Oqaban faced De Abasin Sape in their first game where Mehdi Behzad scored the equalizer for his side at stoppage time of the second half.

"We are happy with one draw and we have trained hard to defeat Amu on Friday." Oqaban’s Assistant Coach Hamid Maqsoodi said.

Amu tied 2-2 with De Spinghar Bazan in their first game. Their first goal was scored via an own goal by the Bazan’s defenseman, Manan Farahi.Amu’s second goal came courtesy of Hedayatullah Ahmadi via a penalty shot, which ended the game in a draw.

Tahir Munawari, Amu’s Asisstant Coach commented, "We have exhibited that with eight new and young players in our squad,we are in the best form to compete."

It will be critical for both sides to seize a win today that will give them three points and increase their chance of advancing throughthe group stage competition. Currently each of the four teams in Group A has one point and the winner of today’s match will automatically be in command of the group.

All of the group stage matches will start at 4:00 pm this season. The matches will broadcast live on TOLO TV,Lemar TV ,Arman FM ,and Arakozai FM.  It will also be watchable on the RAPL YouTube page (www.youtube.com/afghanpremierleague).
